Israel, Palestine and Gaza the problem persists.

The same things that are always happening continue to happen in Israel, Gaza and Palestine. I was however a little surprised by an interview i watched on the bbc news website this morning with the London Ambassador to Israel. Now this is a man who said as soon as he got here that it was his intention to garner as much support as possible for Israel in the UK as possible and we can see the effects of this statement already begin to take effect as press manipulation and marketing of the Israeli cause works overtime. However, if we step back and look pass this to his interview whilst some things show the were right there wrong side of the Israeli argument it also shows the simplicity to the path of peace for Gaza. The ambassador put it very simply indeed, if Hamas were to stop the rockets tomorrow then there would be absolutely no need for the Israelis to go into Gaza at all. If Hamas were to stop all rocket attacks then Israel could drop the blockade of the Gaza strip.

So it is simple why not start with just one goal between Gaza and Israel, complete ceasefire from the Gazan rocket attacks, and in return Israel will not launch a single attack or incursion against Gaza. After two weeks of this, the blockade could be relax somewhat in order to allow vital supplies into the country. All preparation for the transfer of supplies into Gaza could be done in the two week period so that as soon as the time came they could immediately roll into Gaza encouraging a further extension of  two weeks. As each two week period is reached, more could be given to the Gazan people.

Perhaps by the end of the second two week period, a number of preselected cases from Gazan hospitals could be transported to Israel for treatment.

Perhaps by the end of the third two week period the UN could look at going in to fix and run the power facilities in Gaza and perhaps engage in projects to build biomass head power units to provide localised energy to the homes and businesses in the areas although hospitals should most likely be done first.

I am always saying when are people going to do something, and what is it they are going to do in order to help change the situation in Palestine. This is a brilliant example of something that can be done, have a massive effect and also be done in a way that is not violent. A number of Islamic States have withdrawn their stands from the book fair in Paris and more are joining the protest every day due to the Israeli actions in Palestine. These are the sort of events that can gain lots of publicity for the cause as well as show that Muslims are not a bunch of suicide bombing mentalists, but can quite adequately use diplomacy in trying to resolve its issues.

It is these types of actions that are able to have massive effects, not just against Israel but also in uniting Muslims all around the world the way they should be. More actions like this all around the world would be something that could really have a lot of effect around the world.

US missiles slam into houses in Somalia.

On Monday there were reports about the Missile attacks in Somalia by the Americans again. Can someone please explain to me the situation there and why America is firing missiles around in Somalia. Is America currently occupying Somalia or is it backing the current Somalian government over other factions?

I thought that Somalia was an Islamic Republic but i maybe wrong on that. I certainly know that when the UK was ruling the region all that time ago that Somalia definitely was an Islamic state and one that put up a big fight to remain independent of the UK and its colonies.

Sanctions finally enforced on Iran.

So the sanctions that everyone knew were going to get passed have finally gone through. It is still very interesting how fixated America is on trying to get the two Iranian banks on the exclusion list also. I can only assume this is to completely freeze all foreign funds from entering the country.

An interesting by product of this is that the Iranian Oil Bourse that was supposed to have opened in early February has completely disappeared again. I have not seen any news on it, or found any information on why the delays have occurred or when the launch will be rescheduled. Is it possible that Iran has decided in private that the sanctions are too much and that if they drop the Bourse that America might be more inclined to leave them alone.

Whatever the case, it can be true to say that Iran is now going to start feeling the bite as all technology is restricted from Iran. Lets hope that Iran gets it Bourse up and running as quickly as possible so that they can start moving forward at least in some areas of their autonomy.

As China increases its military spending the whining of America, UK and other western countries rings in our ears as they moan about China not being open enough about exactly what it is spending its money on. I am not sure whether i am missing something or not but what the hell has it got to do with them. Our budgets don’t exactly disclose where all of our money goes, and on what technologies we are focusing our energies. You can be sure that with Americas refusal to engage in a non-proliferation treaty with regards to space based weapons systems that China is going to be putting lots of money into that. You can also bet that due to American withdrawls from many of the treaties that existed to control arms developments that we will never be seeing an open budget. Why don’t we start with America giving an open and descriptive budget first before moaning at other people to do it.

Hamas claims victory in Gaza, how sad.

Lets be clear, i am totally against the policies of the IDF and their approach to dealing with Palestinians as a whole but for Hamas to come out saying that it is their victory gives some hints as to what people are up against when trying to genuinely look for a peaceful resolution to this situation.

The fact is there was no victory for Hamas in Gaza and there certainly was not any victory for the IDF who succeeded in destroying so many homes and businesses as well as killing so many civilians of which at least 8 were children. That Hamas would try to claim this as a victory is only and encouragement for more rocket fire. Surely Hamas can see what is coming, if they do not stop the rocket fire Israel will tire of what is going on and will simply take over the whole of Gaza. There is no one in the world that will stop them because as long as America and Britain are on their side, nothing will ever get through the security council. Hamas still has a chance to fix things although this is rapidly disappearing. The only hope for anything would be a complete pause by both sides, for Hamas to agree to and enforce a complete ceasefire of rockets, and for Israel to respond with an agreement to completely stop all incursions and military actions. If they set their sights short and aim for a week to start with. At the end of the week they can agree to extend the pause by another two week period with Israel allowing limited humanitarian supplies into Gaza. At the end of this period, it could be extended to include another month long period during which co-operative agreements should allowed to operate allowing trade between Gaza and Israel as well as a concerted effort to help create some kind of agricultural development scheme in Gaza to help them develop food for themselves. The people of Gaza at this point should also be given access to their shoreline beaches, seems like a strange thing but something as small as that would have such a massive effect on the morale of the people of Gaza. It might also be possible to provide small boats to allow for a limited development of a fishing.

It is so easy for us all to just sit back and watch an atrocity occur, lets do something to fix and to fix it now. We all know that once that line is crossed the consequences will be catastrophic but even more important than that, to billions of people it will be unforgivable.

The fact that Israel comes under daily attack is undeniable just as much as the fact they come under attack is due to their military occupation of another country. It is also undeniable that the massive Palestinian civilian death toll is totally unacceptable not to mention the thousands of injured civilians also. It took almost a week for the world to say something and even then, the Americans have made certain that no security council resolutions will be agree against Israel.

How about some action on our part. There seem to be so many things that can be done to stop the problems that are currently going on in the area.  Why not immediately send in NATO troops to provide security to the Palestinians and the Israelis. If the Palestinians don’t want a group of countries complicit with America and therefore by default Israel, why not send in Canadian, African or Chinese troops as international peacekeepers, someone who is completely separated from the parties that are involved or indeed the parties that have supported them. An agreement could be made not between Israel and Palestine, but between Israel and the international community and Palestine and the International community that all attacks will cease under the condition of complete withdrawal of Israeli troops replaced by the peacekeepers. Secondly, no incursions whatsoever by Israel for whatever reason into Gaza or Palestine and complete and full autonomy. Thirdly a new election immediately held in Palestine in which everyone has to accept the elected government even if it is Hamas.

Could someone please tell me why this is so difficult and why people are so reticent to do anything to solve this situation but are quite happy to sit back and watch another country perpetrate a holocaust on another.

USS Cole, is the US getting ready to help Israel?

I have found the movement of the USS Cole to the coast of Lebanon a fascinating move by the Americans and wondered what the purpose of this move could be. I know that with regards to Lebanon itself, they have been doing everything possible to keep from elections taking place because they know that the current government which is pro-western, or more specifically pro-Israeli and pro-American would never win again. Just as they decided to completely ignore the results of the Democratic process in Palestine, Egypt, Algeria they will do the same in Lebanon. I really don’t see the purpose of the ship though as i don’t see anyway that it could actually be used in Lebanon. If a single missile from that vessel were to be used even at the request of the current government it would seal that governments fate as a collaborator and a traitor.

So if we accept the likelihood of that being the case as low, what else could the ship be there for? The last time America had a ship (USS Liberty) that close to Israeli waters it was attacked by Israel killing 34 servicemen and injuring at least 173 others. You would have thought that the Americans would not want a ship anywhere near that region. Perhaps the ship is there along with its escorts in order to cover Israels back whilst it engages in a full scale invasion of Gaza or perhaps even an Iranian attack. It seems obvious that the USS Cole and the other ships protecting it will almost certainly have a submarine or two with it as well. It is being touted as some as a way to send signals to Iran and Syria that they should not interfere in the elections in Lebanon, or rather that only America should be allowed to interfere in those elections and only a pro-American government should win.

Anyway, would love to hear peoples opinions.

After the deaths of the last few days Israel has not relented and the World at large has said NOTHING. A further 26 Palestinians were killed on Saturday with at least 3 of those children. Since Wednesday this week that is over 60 people murdered by the Israelis whilst they clearly line up for a massacre with artillery batteries and masses of tanks north of the border.

Israel could not have been more open about what it has been doing or is going to do in Gaza with its admission of a holocaust and their intentions to make that holocaust even bigger. What is it going to take for the Americans to stop aiding and abetting this holocaust.

Israel openly told the Palestinians in Gaza and the occupied territory that there will be an even bigger holocaust in response to the rocket fire from their region. The arrogance of the Israelis that they can confirm a holocaust is taking place in Palestine and that it will only increase is not surprising. I don’t think the response of the rest of the world will be a surprise either as they will all ignore that Israel admits to a holocaust taking place and that they are going to make this bigger.

Israel is moaning that there are countries saying that Zionism should be whipped out how then should Palestine and other countries react to Israel admitting to perpetrating a Holocaust and then saying that they are going to make it bigger.
